Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix peaches with 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch.
- Combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt; add milk, butter, vanilla, and mix.
- Pour batter into a greased dish, top with peach mixture.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For best results, use ripe peaches and serve warm with ice cream.
