Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream butter and powdered sugar until fluffy. Mix in egg, vanilla, and peppermint extracts.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to wet mixture.
- Divide dough; color half with red food coloring. Roll into ropes, twist into candy cane shapes.
- Bake 10-12 minutes, cool slightly, then sprinkle with crushed candy canes.
