Cheesy Garlic Potatoes Gratin

Ingredients
  

Potatoes
  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Gruyère)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Layer half of potatoes in a greased dish, pour half of cream mixture, then add half of cheese.
  3. Repeat with remaining potatoes, cream, and cheese. Cover with foil and bake 45 minutes.
  4. Remove foil, bake 15-20 minutes until golden. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Use Gruyère for a richer flavor or cheddar for a sharper taste.
