Ingredients
  

Bread
  • 4 cups cubed bread
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
Butter
  • for greasing butter for greasing the baking dish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Mix milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Add bread to mixture, fold in raisins if using, then pour into dish.
  4. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden and set.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

You can add more spices or raisins for extra flavor.
