Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Topping
  • hershey's kisses, unwrapped hershey's kisses

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Cream sugar and butter until fluffy. Mix in egg, food coloring, and vanilla.
  3. Combine baking soda, vinegar, flour, cocoa, and salt. Mix dry into wet.
  4. Form dough into 1-inch balls, place on sheet, and bake 8-10 minutes.
  5. Press a Hershey's Kiss into each cookie immediately after baking. Cool before serving.
