  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup crushed hard candies (like jolly ranchers)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream butter and sugar, add egg and vanilla, then mix in dry ingredients to form dough.
  3. Divide dough, chill for 1 hour, then roll out to 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Cut out shapes, make centers, fill with crushed candies, and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Cool completely before serving.
