Ingredients
  

Bread
  • 2 slices bread (white, whole grain, sourdough)
Egg
  • 1 large large egg
Cheese
  • ½ cup grated cheese (cheddar, gruyere, or your favorite)
Herbs
  • 1 tsp finely chopped fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary)
Salt and Pepper
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
Cayenne
  • Pinch Pinch of cayenne (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F or air fryer to 370°F.
  2. Lightly toast the bread and set aside.
  3. Beat the egg, then mix in cheese, herbs, salt, pepper, and cayenne.
  4. Spread the mixture over the toast edges.
  5. Bake for 10–12 mins or air fry for 5–7 mins until golden and bubbly.
