Ingredients
  

Dairy and Oils
  • 0.67 cup butter
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
Sugars
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.33 cup brown sugar
Dry ingredients
  • 0.67 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 egg eggs (cold)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup all purpose flour
Oreo cookies
  • 15 cookies Oreos (extra 5 for topping)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch pan with parchment.
  2. Melt butter, oil, and sugars in 30-second intervals, then stir vigorously after microwaving for 1 minute.
  3. Whisk in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla. Fold in dry ingredients just until combined.
  4. Pour half batter into pan, place Oreos in center, then top with remaining batter. Sprinkle crushed Oreos on top.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes, cool fully before slicing.

Notes

For best results, let the brownies cool completely before slicing to achieve clean squares.
