  • 20 ounce crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 18.25 ounce yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans or walnuts optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Spread chopped rhubarb in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  3. Pour crushed pineapple over the rhubarb, spreading evenly.
  4. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the pineapple.
  5. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  6. Sprinkle with nuts, if desired.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
