No-Boil Pasta Bake

A delicious baked pasta dish that combines creamy ricotta, melty cheese, and flavorful marinara sauce for an easy, no-boil dinner.

Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
Cheese
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Sauces and seasonings
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • to taste Salt and pepper
Garnish
  • optional Fresh basil for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta until al dente, then drain.
  2. Mix ricotta, egg, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper. Combine with cooked pasta.
  3. Spread half of marinara sauce in a greased dish. Layer pasta mixture, then top with remaining sauce.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan on top. Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes, then uncover and bake 10-15 more minutes.
  5. Let cool slightly, garnish with basil if desired, then serve.

Notes

You can add extra vegetables or protein for variation.
