Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta until al dente, then drain.
- Mix ricotta, egg, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper. Add cooked pasta and combine.
- Spread half of marinara sauce in a greased dish, layer pasta mixture, then top with remaining sauce.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake 10-15 more minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let cool briefly, garnish with basil if desired, then serve.
Notes
For a creamier texture, add a splash of milk or cream before baking.
