- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix pumpkin, milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
- Pour into a greased 9x13 inch dish and sprinkle cake mix on top.
- Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix and add pecans if desired.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until golden and set. Cool slightly before serving.
