Method
- Brown ground beef in a skillet until cooked; drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until translucent.
- Stir in orzo, beef broth, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender and liquid absorbed.
- Remove from heat, stir in cheddar cheese until melted, then serve with optional toppings.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce or hot sauce.
