Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Layer half of bread cubes in dish, drop spoonfuls of cream cheese, then top with remaining bread.
- Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt; pour evenly over bread.
- Drizzle maple syrup on top, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil, bake 15-20 minutes until golden, cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
This casserole is best served warm with a dusting of powdered sugar.
