Ingredients
  

Canned Yams
  • 2 cans yams (15 oz each), drained
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped (optional) optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash drained yams until smooth, then mix in sugar, milk, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Spread mixture in a greased baking dish, then top with marshmallows and pecans.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes until marshmallows are golden.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of salt or a drizzle of honey.
