Dry ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Optional nuts
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts optional
For dusting
  • powdered sugar powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheet.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugars, then add egg, eggnog, vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry, fold in nuts if using.
  5. Drop dough onto baking sheet, bake 10-12 mins, cool, dust with powdered sugar.
