Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • 1/4 cup colored sprinkles (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, vanilla, and almond extracts.
  3. Mix in dry ingredients, form dough, and shape into balls.
  4. Place on baking sheet, optionally flatten and add sprinkles.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, cool, then dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

For best results, do not overmix the dough to keep cookies tender.
