Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg yolk and vanilla, mix well.
- Mix in flour and salt to form a dough.
- Roll out dough, cut shapes, and place on baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, cool, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
Chill the dough if it becomes too soft for easier cutting.
