Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet.
- Cream butter and sugar until light, then add vanilla and egg yolk.
- Mix in flour and salt to form dough, chill for 30 minutes.
- Roll out dough, cut shapes, and place on baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden, then cool.
