  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
wet ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
chocolate coating
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate
decoration
  • sprinkles or chopped nuts for decoration

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl; beat wet ingredients until smooth.
  3. Combine wet and dry to form dough, then roll into logs.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, cool completely.
  5. Melt chocolate, dip cooled cookies, decorate, and let set.

Ensure chocolate is fully set before storing to maintain coating.
