Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cream butter, sugars until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Combine dry ingredients and gradually mix into wet.
- Fold in chocolate chips, peppermint candies, and extract. Drop dough onto baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, cool on sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let cool on sheets.
