White Chocolate Dipped Chewy Maple Cookies for Christmas

Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon maple extract
Chocolate & Decoration
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • sprinkles for decoration (optional) sprinkles for decoration

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix dry ingredients; set aside. Cream butter and sugars, then add egg, maple syrup, vanilla, and maple extract.
  3. Gradually combine dry and wet ingredients. Scoop dough onto baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Cool cookies, then dip in melted white chocolate and decorate with sprinkles.

Notes

For best results, melt chocolate in short bursts and dip cookies while chocolate is still warm.
