Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes (optional) optional
For dusting
  • to taste powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment.
  2. Cream softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Mix in dry ingredients until just combined, then fold in chocolate chips and candy canes.
  5. Drop dough onto baking sheets, bake 10-12 mins, cool, then dust with powdered sugar.

For extra flavor, chill the dough before baking.
