Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Dry ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  3. Combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla; mix until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into a greased baking dish. Spoon peach mixture over top.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, use ripe peaches and serve warm with ice cream.
