Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup colorful sprinkles or chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Mix in egg and vanilla.
  3. Whisk dry ingredients and combine with wet mixture.
  4. Fold in sprinkles or chocolate chips, shape into logs, and refrigerate.
  5. Slice chilled dough and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes.
